The National Service Scheme (NSS) Special Camp organized by Dr. Rajendra Gode College of Agriculture, Buldhana, run by Indira Bahuuddeshiya Shikshan Sanstha, was inaugurated today at Malvihir with great enthusiasm and an inspiring atmosphere under the jurisdiction of the Malvihir Gram Panchayat. A large number of villagers, dignitaries, faculty members, and NSS volunteers were present at the inauguration ceremony.
The programme was presided over by the Principal of the college, Dr. R. U. Wagh. The chief guests for the occasion included Smt. Archana Dilip Aadve, Sarpanch of Malvihir Gram Panchayat; Hon. Shri Devidas Sampat Aadve, Police Patil; senior villager Hon. Shri Harshal Aadve; along with Hon. Shri S. H. Tekale, Headmaster of the Zilla Parishad Primary School, Malvihir, and Smt. S. T. Raut Madam, teacher.
While guiding the students during the inaugural address, Principal Dr. R. U. Wagh highlighted the importance of the National Service Scheme. He emphasized that along with academic excellence, students must develop a strong sense of social responsibility. He stated that NSS is an effective movement that connects students with rural realities. Such activities help inculcate values like service-mindedness, leadership qualities, and social commitment among students, he added.
At the beginning of the programme, the NSS Programme Officer and Assistant Professor, Shri S. S. Sarap, presented a detailed introduction to the special camp. He informed that various activities such as cleanliness drives, health awareness programmes, environmental conservation, tree plantation, social awareness campaigns, and village development-related initiatives would be carried out during the camp period.
Through this NSS special camp, several socially beneficial activities will be implemented for the overall development of Malvihir village. The dignitaries expressed their confidence that this camp would strengthen social awareness among students and further reinforce the spirit of national service. Best wishes for the successful conduct of the camp were conveyed by the President of Indira Bahuuddeshiya Shikshan Sanstha, Hon. Shri Yogendraji Gode Saheb, and the Secretary, Hon. Miss. Tanvi Yogendra Gode Madam.
The inaugural programme was effectively and systematically compered by NSS volunteers Shivani Deshmukh and Anjali Bairagi. At the conclusion of the programme, student volunteer Payal Rajput delivered the vote of thanks.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Principal Dr. R. U. Wagh; NSS Programme Officer and Assistant Professor Shri S. S. Sarp; Gymkhana In-charge Shri. M. M. Solanki; along with a large number of NSS volunteers. Assistant Professors Shri Nitesh Rathod, Dr. P. A. Mule, and Mrs. M. A. Tathe were also present on the occasion.
